Foundation of the Trust

Shanti Dehdan Charitable Trust was established in honor of the noble vision and final wish of Bodhisattva Shanti Sahu, a woman of compassion, strength, and extraordinary humanitarian thinking.

Born into a humble family, she lived her life guided by values of kindness, equality, and service to humanity. In her final moments, she expressed her desire to dedicate her entire body for the welfare of society, so that even after her death, her body could contribute to medical education, research, and the service of those in need.

Her thoughts were deeply influenced by the moral values instilled by her parents and the philanthropic ideology of her life partner, Shri Khushal Chandra Sahu (Founder), who has always believed in serving humanity beyond personal boundaries.

These powerful words of courage, generosity, and selflessness continue to inspire the mission of this institution.

Through her body and organ donation, she set an exemplary precedent in humanity and contributed to the advancement of medical education and research.

To preserve her extraordinary vision and keep her humanitarian spirit alive, Shanti Dehdan Charitable Trust (SDC Trust) was established — dedicated to promoting body donation, organ donation, blood donation, and compassionate medical assistance for the unknown and the needy.
