1. Pledges Are Statements of Intent
Registering on our platform and downloading a Donor ID card serves as an emotional and legal statement of your intent to donate. However, biological suitability is strictly determined by licensed medical professionals and government-approved transplant coordinators at the exact time of death. A pledge does not guarantee that your organs will be harvested.
2. Family Consent Paradigm
Under the current operational framework in Indian hospitals (THOTA), even if you possess a valid Donor Card from our organization or NOTTO, doctors will still mandate the written consent of your immediate next-of-kin before initiating any retrieval process.
